Yes but it's s**t..Mac address issues...And zgemma not fast enough..You would need solo2 etc..

Hi End of the day it dont make any difference which box you have as it depends mainly on who provides the IPTV service. You can also find very good IPTV channels for free and copy them to whatever box you have. Also remember that whether you pay or not IPTV channels dont last forever. Regards

Quite a few channels from IPTV have switched to Hvec 265 now - if you're going to be buying a new box, to make it compatible with those streams, you're probably best getting one that can handle that format.

All IPTV is - is a link to url to a channel that's being streamed from somewhere - all E2 boxes and STB's where you can add your own links are capable of IPTV. Not all boxes can show all video/audio formats, but as far as I know all these new 4k boxes can. If I was buying a new STB I'd be looking at something that is E2 compatible so I could make my own software for it and also E2 stb's have great support.

I would say stick to an enigma 2 box . You have all the options available then.....sat tv or iptv

If I were buying new then it would have to be a 4K E2 receiver with both Cable/T2 & Sat tuners. Best then of all worlds! :king-042:

Don't see point on splashing out on high end receiver now all mostly is closed & will only get worse going forward..i think my solo2 will be the last E2 receiver i buy..My tv has built in 4k tuner.

Satellite and cable days are numbered, when 5g comes out more people won't even need a wired internet connection. Services such as netflix/****** prime/youtube/Spectrum Tv (HBO/Showtime/AMC etc), are already cutting into these old legacy providers markets - and with plex servers/illegal streaming and the younger generation becoming more computer savvy, it's just a matter of time until wires/sat boxes/etc are a thing of the past.

When was the last time you saw a music center/video recorder etc, all things get replaced eventually - when tech becomes better the old gets replaced with the new, it's always been that way and always will be. Companies need to keep up or fall by the wayside, BT/Vermin/Sky probably won't be around in 30 years time - everything will be served by a wireless provider, and most likely from another countries satellite that's nearly free and very high speed.

TBH I use my Nvidia Shield TV more than anything else, you can use IPTV, install things like Kodi/terarrium TV, youtube/games/web browsers/look at pictures/voip communications - even add a tuner to it if you wanted too, 1 box that does everything and can sit on the back of your TV so you don't even notice it - and it's 4K.

Heard all the doom & gloom about Sat' for years now but it still marches on! Loads of other Satellites besides 28 East & loads of options on most of them as well as new providers coming and going to boot. So I will stick with Sat. Can't see it ever dying, not in my lifetime at least. :D

But on the 'thread' subject, I chose MAG250 for IPTV - and very pleased with it!
However, as has been said in this thread there are very many ways of 'skinning a cat' for IPTV and I also use my TM5420HD M3 for IPTV too - so yes, take your pick!

I have the 500GB version, however you do get small factor PC's that can sit behind your TV that are far more powerful, but the Shield TV is a fantastic bit of gear for the money, and there's nothing android wise that comes anywhere close to it, also considering it's about a two year old box now and still nothing compares to it, and the fact Nvidia do regular updates for the software - it's been a great buy. Definitely blows my old minix neo x8-h away, far, far away!!!

No mate, it's M3, so M1 (Ci) can't carry IPTV!

I am using Mag250, Zgemma and a Roku m8, Mag the bet but Zgemma not that far behind, and IPTV line lot cheaper for Zgemma ? dont know why

ive used a few types of boxses, i prefer my sammy tv with smart iptv, also have the official mag portal running on the tv as well its not great and its expensive but this allows catch up directly from the mag server via the epg. android box for streams only id go wth a fire stick probably cheap readily available and work well (as long as wifis decent where being located). zgemma more hassle than worth, real mag hardware prob the best of the bunch but being able to just have the tv no boxses no extra remotes ect ect so no whining from the mrs and throw in the fact she can even use the streams with out needing me to change chnl.... happy wife happy life

I agree the speed of the CPU will determine how good your IPTV provider is my personal choice is Sat with IPTV with at least 900mips cpu, as the linux boxes are too complex for my seniors brain!!
