how to record iptv onto a usb stick

hi eveyone

please i have a vu 4k solo with a vix image the one with trees on orangery colour

my question is how do i record on a usb stick an iptv film which is on my VOD which have sub to, i have 1tb memory built in to the stb

i put the usb stick into the front port and pressed record and nothing happened

please advice needed
