Returning to sat after a long break. I have a TM 5402 HD M3 and have installed Phantompatch 1.46 and new channel list. Do I need anything else to open encrypted channels? (Perhaps Mezzo on 13E as I have this sat set up.)
I have read through most of this site, but not found the answer. I need an idiots guide - for this idiot!!!
Any help to get back to sat tv much appreciated.

You'll need many of the things we aren't allowed to discuss in open forum for opening anything but the FTA channels mate!

There isn't a lot available, using keys, anymore, at least not the premium channels.
You can check the latest keys, in the encryption discussion section:

Or check the latest Dreambox Keys, updated by Informed, and posted by powercisco, to see what's available:

Many thanks for the quick replies.
I was hoping, having got rid of a tree that was blocking everything, repaired my Vbox, stripped and greased my jack, that I could find something more interesting.
I will have to finish re-aligning my dish and hope I can find something FTA of interest on various satellites.

There are a few Biss feeds, check the feeds section regularly.

Hello,
just like Dafydd, I've come back to sat after a long break, my boxes of matrix and diablo cams redundant now!
I have a TM 5402 M3 and I've got loads of free to air stuff from various satellites across the arc but I'm trying to find feeds.
I put all the relevant info in from Mr Cassidy at Salliweb and nothing comes up. I've done this before with other tuners without any problems but there is absolutely no signal showing when I search for any of the uncrypted feeds in the list. I've scratched my head....a lot..... has anyone any suggestions?
Many thanks

Try 16E, Reading feed, FTA, 12694 V 7200 DVB-S2 or 12685 V 7200 DVB-S2
Also on 12.5W 11456 H 7200 DVB-S2.
When searching for feeds you either need to find their details, to manually scan for them, or do a blind scan.

Hi Thanks for that...... I hate saying BUT.......but I've already tried those frequencies and I couldnt get a signal at all.... Ive tried the blind scan facility and nothing.... have I got a setting wrong....I know you can't tell from there but everything else is working, I've pulled in lots of channels on a range from 30 w to 28 e. I just cant work out why feed frequencies dont show up. Would tweaking the motor help?
Ive checked footprints via lyngsat and I should be getting a brilliant signal even if its encrypted.
I used to be able to get feeds with my old set up.....back in the dark ages.....so I'm flumuxed as to why its being difficult now.
yours with hope.

Feeds only last a short time, usually, so you have to scan them when they are broadcasting.
Feeds also usually broadcast at lower power, compared to normal channels, so your dish needs to be aligned correctly.
Check your signal quality readings, on all the satellites, you can get, to see if your dish has moved slightly, and check if your Latitude, and Longitude, are correct.

The dish has been fiddled with and the signals on most sats are much better, I've done a bit of reading about and my LNB gets a poor review.... bad for low signals.... so I'm off to look for a new LNB....any recommendations?
