intelsat 907 film4+1

hi. I am in Spain for a couple of months and have an Icecrypt S3500 to view tv witch works well but I have tried and tried to get flim4+1 but despite my best efforts cannot get it to work.

I use Vpid7501 and Vpid7502 Video stream MPEG2 AND Audio stream MPEG1. The PCR is blank in Lyngsat and tracksat so tried 0/7501/7500 all without success. I did get a picture one morning using MPEG4 ? but next time i turned it on it did not work.

I think everything must be right as if I change Vpid, Apid and PCR to other channel settings they work? I found one site that said the Video Stream was h264 but that is not an option during setup.

Any help would be greatfully received.

Hi ddhbush best option is to download the latest firmware for your icecrypt from here as every 1 i have done has the latest channels and b*ss codes already preloaded into it.Can confirm it works on 3200/3250/1600/1600SE OK.

Hi thanks for the reply. What file do you use as I have downloaded the latest firmware from both the icecrypt site and this site, at least it was the latest I could find! I understand it has to be the single tuner file.

I'm struggling to get my Icecrypt S1600 to work on Intelsat 907. I've downloaded what I believe is the latest firmware from the FTP, S1600c_1.7.19.abs. I think I have the latest BISS keys but nothing seems to be dated. However, whilst the channels load ok, every time I select them they all come up stating they are scrambled.

Is there anywhere else I have to define the Encryption as BISS?
Any pointers to the latest keys would be appreciated?

hi keith b what is the state of your signal strength and quality as these are quite important,also do you have a 1600 or 1600SE(second edition) as the software is different for both,i have set 1 of each up for friends and they deffo work but you need decent signal strength and quality above 70% to get a stable picture,I always do all sw and bootloader when upgrading sw either by usb stick or direct from server by connecting box to lan and ftp upgrade,more info is needed to diagnose your problems.

I have a Icecrypt S1600chd. I purchased the box second hand and it works fine with the Astra feed.

Just a few more details. I'm currently in the UK intending to take the set up out to Spain.
I'm using a old sky dish that I've aligned to Intelsat 907, signal strength is 90% Quality 50%. ( when I go to Spain I will be using a 1m dish)
I have tried two sets of codes one starts D5, the other AD.
I've tried 2 software releases the one currently loaded states Current software Jan11 2017 11:33:17; Software latest update 1.7.19EMU

What I don't understand is how the box knows to use bbc biss keys? all the other encryption keys such as Conax have figures loaded?
Do I need to make any changes on the MCAS config screen? located below key edit.

On setup for Intelsat there seems to be only 4 settings to change, Freq, SR and Vert/hor

Any ideas would be appreciated.

can you access the hidden menue ? and check the keys ?

hi sig qual of 50% deffo too low ,in my experience you will not get a picture with that level,check the skew on lnb as its opposite to astra ,

Yes, they stay loaded after rebooting as well.

I was a bit skeptical at first as my Astra unit works quite well at 50%. But I tweaked the dish a bit and got the quality up to 70% and the channels all came through.

I have all BBC Channels , ITV 1, Channel 4, Channel 5 working but I can not get Film4 +1 to fully work. I only have sound but no image. My firmware is S1600c_1.7.05.abs. I can see on the thread above that there is a more updated one version S1600c_1.7.19.abs. I can not download it from the satellite FTP. Can anyone place a copy on the thread so I can download it and see if it work.

Put on root of USB stick
Upgrade Software and Channels.
