I have a DM500HD and would like to fit it with a usb to install flashexpander. I have tried this and it works, but then the usb cannot be used for anything else. My problem is that I would also like to use the usb for recordings. saving picons etc. I tried to partition the usb with various utilities and although the partitons are created ok, I also tried creating them directly in ext3, these are not recognised by my Dreambox. I can see the usb and I can initialize it, but it is recognized only as a complete drive and not two partitions.
Does anybody know of a utility or a plug in that can partition a usb and then format each partition so that they can be used independetly by the Dreambox?
