Technomate 6900+ HD keeps freezing

Problem as above, sometimes freezes directly after booting, sometimes after selecting a few channels so decided to reinstall. It accepted the reset then the original TM6900HDsuper.stb but then froze after coming back on, tried a few more times with similar results, then it accepted reset > original > reset > Phantom super 761p > reset > ADDON_002p then a scan of 1west right up till 94% and then froze. Can anyone help - it would be very much appreciated.

Have you checked whether some capacitors inside are swollen/bulging at all Graham?

Holmroad, thanks for your reply mate, wouldn't know what to look for or what I'm looking at. Would it be possible for you to give me a few pointers.
