Box for low speeds?

Hi Guy, my internet speeds are really low Download 1.48 Mb/s Upload0 21 Mb/s
Does anyone run an IPTV box successfully with low speeds?
If so could you recommend a box.
(Pulling hair out since plug was pulled)

I honestly don't think you will get great viewing with those speeds regardless of what box you use.

Have you looked at other broadband options ?

I bought an Android Kit Kat and loaded it with Kodi and other packages, but couldn't get anything viewable.
I wonder if it was fake as I only paid £30.00 for it
At the moment I run a Spider box 6000.
Are there any other systems you could recommend suitable for slow connection?

That's the difference between streaming, and using a satellite system, with card sharing.
With streaming you need a good broadband speed, as you are watching live, with sharing you're only sharing small packets of information, all the rest comes via your satellite dish.
Even with the buffering set to maximum I doubt you'll get anything viewable.
Have you checked to see if you have fibre broadband, in your area, or if it will be available soon? The cost isn't that much more than normal broadband, especially if you get a deal, my parents finally got Plusnet fibre so I was able to set up an android box for them.

Its a real bone of contention I live in London and our road is the only one in the area with no fibre broadband, all sorts of excuses,
too far from the exchange, tree protection. They keep promising to look into it but nothing happens, changed suppliers a few times
now after guarantees that we will have a faster connections, but it always ends the same.

For London, that's a disgrace, everyone is supposed to have fast broadband, or at least what our government consider to be fast broadband, just so we can compete with the rest of the world, but not to have it in London, our capital city, is insane.

I know how you feel about fibre broadband. Got a fibre cable going into old school which is now an education provider and youth centre behind where I live. Cable goes over the top of the cabinet but not in it.Many other cabinets have it in Stroud. My dad has no broadband so I use a 4G router with wifi and ethernet for mobdro loaded on a wetek (Freeview version). He has no satellite. The sim card goes directly in the back of the router (D link open to all networks). My partner has lots of data and I only use it on Sundays. Good solution if you have good 4G. Sorry to hear about your situation. I doubt satellite broadband would be any help due to the ping rate, and I think it is very expensive for lots of data use.

slightly off topic, but might help the case

I'm on a lousy speed here. on a fixed 28e communal dish, lousy asdl ,pits since losing cs option

I was moving my phoneline box , as it halfway up the wall, and was checking my connection as I progressed, and ended up gaining about 130kbs.

It looks like the original line was botched, and the speed was impeded by a third with just one bad connection.

I joined the two broadband wires straight to the router input lead with a terminal block, massive improvement.

my speed was maxing out at 230 kbs before and is constant at 360kbs now, definitely not hd , but just passible enough for sd iptv

worth checking all your connections!

Thanks mate, Sorry for late reply, I have been away. Thanks but my neighbours have the same problem, however just lately it seems to have sped up to upload 2.07 Mb/s Would that speed be okay for IPTV? I know its SD but that's what I am getting now.
