Icecrypt S1600HD SE Upgrade Firmware

Hello,

I'm a newbie. I've followed the information on the site and am trying to do a firmware upgrade on the S1600CHD SE using a file downloaded from here (S1600SE_2.4.46) and install via USB. I'm in the Upgrade By USB part of the menu but the device can find no file, although it is on the USB stick.

Do I need to do anything else before I attempt an upgrade?

Did you unzip the file, and transfer the S1600SE_2.4.46.abs too your USB stick?
Have you updated your receiver before?
Did you follow the guides, in the Icecrypt section.

Personally I have never owned, or used, an Icecrypt receiver, so hopefully a fellow owner, of the S1600HD SE, will be able to advise you better.

This is the first update I have done. The zip file was unzipped so the abs file is showing on the USB stick.

Try another USB stick, formatted to FAT 32, on your PC.
Can you please confirm that your receiver is the Icecrypt S1600HD SE, and not a different S1600 version.

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm pleased to say that using a different USB proved successful. The new firmware has been installed. Do you know if I still need to connect the unit to the internet to download from the FTP server?
