IPTV on a Samsung

Hi all,
Just been asked by a friend if IPTV can be accessed on a Samsung TV - he has been told he can be given a code to access it on a Samsung TV, but I thought it really only worked with receivers. Any ideas? If this is the wrong place please feel free to move it, and many thanks for any help. Cheers - Brain

As long as it is a smart tv Samsung then yes.

Hi It depends on the TV, if its a smart tv then he can use the smart iptv app from the Samsung store, it works very well but performance can vary depending on what model number tv it is they all have different processing power, better processor means better performance. If it not a smart tv the simplest way is to buy an ****** fire stick and get kodi loaded on it these work very well and are cheap.
Otherwise he can get a bespoke android box and do it that way

Never mind Samsung use a Sony Android TV it is perfect on that with any app.

Sony tvs are good but we lost 3d within kodi.
