I've got a HT9200 box but had a few probs and did a facory restore and now its a HT9000, the S/W won't let me restore it to a 9200 again, theres no patch on the board to get it back to where it was.

Latest Hitechbox 9200 Repair file will put your box back to 9200

Surely all this defeats the object of investing in the later Hitechbox 9200 box in the first place?

Unfortuately it was a hole I found myself in which seems to suggest you maybe right.

That may well be the case, but the forum sponsor does not have the latest Hitech 9200 Receiver in stock.
