Hello Friends

I love a satellite challenge and I've been trying unsuccessfully to get a signal from 5 for a week now and I wonder if anyone could kindly give me some tips

I have a Technomate TM Single receiver and an Inverto 80cm dish with an Inverto ultra LNB and I live on the south coast.

I thought of going bigger with the dish but I want to rule out all other options before doing so M fear is that I may be doing something wrong and the bigger dish may not solve the problem :(

I know the signal strength is pushing it at this size of dish but I would have thought I would at least get a flicker but alas not a sausage!

Any friendly advice would be gratefully appreciated

Paul

5 West is one of the strongest signals, in the UK, and you shouldn't have any problems receiving a signal with an 80cm dish.
Is your dish motorized or are you setting up a fixed dish?
Have you got an active, working, transponder, set up on your receiver?
Do you have a clear line of sight, with no obstacles, between your dish, and 5 West?
If setting up are you using a satellite meter?
If you check the transponders, and the satellite map, on the super beam, from the link, you shouldn't have any problems aligning your dish, to 5 West.

I fit dishes for Fransat UK and they only use a 57cm dish so 80cm is plenty big enough if you find 1 west just move it to the west slowly and you will find it are you using a meter if its Horizon and not HD one it will not find a signal

Use TET a Ukrainian channel on 11766H 27,500 as a target as its fta and a strong signal, use a single lnb without any diseq connections or complicated menu setups for lnb's, it will be easy to find.

WOOPS, sorry about that I misread it. ignore this reply.
