im trying to clear the channel on my enigma 2 box,,,,,,,,,ive got the latest key but not sure if im entering it correctly into the softcam file,,,,,,,just out of curiosity are you clearing the AFN network with your starsat ?

Yes, but don't think AFN works on E2(oscam) atm.

I would remove that transponder and then add it back and re-scan.

They should all clear if you have the right keys.

If you have the 2 blanked out numbers correct then it should work.

Do the other channels clear that need this key ?

On the transponder 12418 h 27500 there should be 26 channels.

Have you got that number ?

And you have removed the transponder, come out of the menu, gone back in the menu, added the transponder back and rescanned have you ?

It should be all or nothing with these channels, they either all clear or none clear.

Starsat Receivers will AU keys
DVB Card With PowerVU EMU will AU keys
some various other cheap Chinese Boxes will AU keys

I would suggest a GT media V8 as you can plug in an ethernet cable into it but with a v7 you can't.

It auto updates 4.8 east, 9e(afn), 15w and 16e.

Yes.

You don't need to enter any keys, it auto updates on the sats mentioned after you have applied the latest software.

So to your knowledge the rest of its channels are to be received in poor quality compared to, say, TM5402HD M3?

The picture is every bit as good as a TM5402 m3 and it auto updates powervu which is something the TM boxes don't do.

Its less than £30 for a V8 so it is fantastic value.

I'm not sure there is anything that a TM5402 m3 can do that the V8 super cannot do.

The Usals works perfectly well for me but I don't use blind scan.

I didn't buy it for 20 west as that is inclined orbit and the picture was very poor and the people who own those channels are very determined to keep them hidden from us.

I bought it as a back up for powervu on 4.8 east mainly although there are other sats as well, afn is ok but I think others like it a lot more than me, if you like American football then its fantastic.

I like it a lot and there is a lot of support.

I love watching horse racing and I wanted another box that can handle Powervu as a back up for the TM5402 m3.

I don't use the TM5402 m3 hardly at all now as the other box does all I need.

As I say, its personal taste.

There are 3 Italian horse racing channels on 16 east and The Fight Network on 15 west.

It will auto update the keys and clear the channels but the keys don't change hardly ever on those channels.

It will not clear the Powervu channels on 20 west though.

No more than the 5402 non powervu. ANd only in UK afn is the difference and auto update of course.
The TM F3 super dows same except 9e.
The V8 is a cheap stb and if you want afn for usa sports and au for keys its a bargain.
If it was an expensive stb wouldnt be worth it.

The hash-mode algorithms are extremely complicated. It requires a disassembly of the original box firmware, which is highly obfuscated, to determine them. Only an expert in reverse engineering is competent to do this. It is far beyond the capabilities of the vast majority of hobbyists.

the v8 golden was 29 quid ,,uk stock on a well known website,,,,it is working well for me with ,,,afn and powervu channels.....I watch the discovery networks channels alot,,,,,the zgemma i was using would stutter alot on the powervu channels,,,,,the sis channels are lacking on picture quality but still watchable....when i get a chance i will try some other channels ( hopefully at the weekend )

I personally watched the AFN channels, but am not remotely interested in the racing or betting, so suppose I've got to ask myself is it worth paying £30 extra to compliment my TM5402HD M3 bearing in mind we are not getting any more firmware updates from TM re PowerVu etc - and would it be practical to have them both working in tandem from the same 1.1M dish/lnb, i.e. would I need to split my sat cable at input to both boxes - + USALS/Diseq etc?
I only ask as I've never done this before lol!

You can't split a sat cable to 2 feeds, and it appears that you have a motorised set up, which is best left alone. On your existing box you may have loop out and could use that to run a short cable to new box but that has restrictions in that you can only watch channels on same polarity when main box is switched on. when main box is off you should be ok. the best solution is get a quad lnb and have 2 cables from dish, one direct to new box and motor as is. I tnink that gt 8 has loop out so that maybe able to use motor.

I'm old school so maybe there is a solution.

The Discovery channels on 12322 4.8E did change keys yesterday, new keys are working ok. 12360 4.8E and 12303 0.8W are still working for me with Oscam emu.

SiS change every Day due to Public H@ck , but these are changing to Secure Director Encrypt very soon
