Sadly it seems this box seems to be forgotten! Utube not worked for the last three days, only world seems to work okay in IPTV and in ***** U.P not working properly either.

Mine is not connecting to the Hitechbox server. Won,t download IPTV channels lists.

all working here except as above.check your network settings are set to dhcp if so download latest software to usb do factory reset and reload software.Save your channel list if using as sat receiver as well.

Well what a difference a day makes! this afternoon I checked my H-9000HB and can now report all working well. Utube now working okay, never had a problem with this since I bought the box till two days ago, also in ***** U.P. now working correctly for the first time for a while. Can only presume the problem at the server has been sorted.

Everything seems to be connecting/working fine for me.
If you are referring to MYTV, I just checked: some are working (Greek, Italian, Polish, Sports...), but some other are not, like SP/PT (the one I'm most interested in, by the way).

I have two boxes.Both are working ok for what I want ,not had any problems ,both used daily.I only use Sport,World &Vip all ok. Y.Tube doesn't work (not bothered) Ad**t working ok (not bothered)'
I am using 2.3.63 update from 12/10/2018 not sure if that would make any difference.

Can you not do it from the box mate ? on the HTTP Upgrade it's the 5th one down,on mine it is anyway.

That's the problem box won't connect to the Hitechbox website even though the box is connected to the internet i.e. Albania tv works.

I am using 2.3.63 from 12/10/2018 update, in IPTV the following all working okay :- Sport, World, Vip and Italian. VOD working okay as well as Utube.
In the Ad**t App. again all working okay ( although these do not refresh as when box was new? )

Have to say yesterday when I first turned on my 9000HD, Utube was not working so I rebooted my router and also my home plugs and this did the trick box now reacting faster and all above clearing okay. Have to say I do not use this receiver for SAT. I find my Spiderbox 9000HD better and more reliable.

Hi was having the same problem then changed DHCP to static in network and now my hd9000 is working! Hope this works for you.

Just tried restarting my rooter (pulled power for 2 mins). Internet working but MYIPTV channel lists still won't load, gets to 10% loaded then stops. Click on it and the list is empty, just a black and white empty grid. Tried several firmware versions, same results. ALBUK TV works fine.

No it's dhcp. Just used the recovery file but that did not make any difference . Just reloading the latest file from 12/10/18. Will try this in a minute. Thanks

Hi you need to change the dhcp to static ip. you can set the ip number in address settings.This is what I did, then try to access the server.

Hi just set it to static ip address to a number say above 10 or higher, thats all I did,. hope it works for you!

Nope did not work for me. Tried end 3 numbers from 0 to 10 to 100 to 250. And a few inbetween. None worked for MYIPTV, but they worked for Albuk. Thanks for your help but I think I am being blocked either by broadband provider or Hitech ?

Thanks for your suggestion, but You Tube is working fine, but MYIPTV is not, nor can I populate and download from the HTTP upgrade area.

Have you checked your network details! when I experienced that problem awhile ago I found one number had changed! I also had the message stating
( Internet connection success ). After changing the network digits back to what they were before the problem the box worked correctly as new.
I can only presume the corruption came about after an update, certainly worth looking at,

Once your box is working okay it pays to write down as much detail as possible of how your box is set up logging all numbers in network whether DHCP or static etc, this will help in the future.

Tried static ip / DHCP / checked MAC Address etc. Checked all OK in router hub. Running out of ideas perhaps its hardware or software issue other than the changeable software. Anyone got any other suggestions? Thanks.

I have this file now and it does not make any difference. The box will not connect to the Hitech server. Nor do any of the previous firmware versions. I think that either the server is down ( but not for everyone) or some boxes have been deliberately excluded ( maybe by age) via MAC address, Chip Number or Serial Number?

Thanks for the info have had the box for a few years now. Guess I can ask if anyone has got a good replacement for the Hightech9000HD. Any remediation from the sponsors online shop on replacement.

So it looks like the Hitechbox is not being supported anymore ! It was OK while it lasted.

I upgraded to SW 2.3.63. A few more icons but everything dead except ALBUK.

I have used it as a backup with IPTV when the 'gift' ran out but I have pretty much given up on it and have bought a Vu Uno 4K SE which is brilliant. You can do everything you could do on a Hitechbox or Spiderbox but it's better. More reliable and the picture is great. There are so many things you can do with it and I have to say I'm still trying to figure it all out. l It seems a bit daunting at first trying to understand all the stuff about Images, Skins, Bouquets, etc but it's really quite easy. Lots of support out there as well.

Some people recommend Zgemma but looking at the price I guess you will get what you pay for.

I will still keep the Hitechbox just to see what happens but not holding my breath !

Just to say again that I have none of the problems with my HitechBox HB9000 that some people in this thread have described. I have no trouble connecting to the server and My TV IPTV still works for me. I've had my box since August 2016 and I see no reason to change.

The main issue I have with My TV is that you have to hunt around a bit for working channels. However, there are normally plenty available and as a tip, the Eleven Sports PT HD channels on World 170 -174 were working flawlessly for the Champions League games last night and are still working today.

Have to agree with Weston Calling I also have no problem connecting (although for some strange reason Utube would not connect last night, but I have had this before and it connected again with no problem the very next night) all other working apps okay.
IPTV working as described in the last post, again had my receiver since Oct 2016 and never renewed gift after it ran out.
I still think your connecting problem is with your network? although where and why I have no answer sorry.

Hi Renibacterium it looks like you got network problem. Take your box to any of your friend's house and try on their network and see if your box is connecting to 9000 server. My box is still working like most of us ever since I bought it since 2016 apart from Gift. Unless your IP is barred by the server people.

My sat box is now working when I connect through my mobile phone. Internet provider is plusnet net not sure if I am being blocked. If anyone else is having problem please state internet provider.

Ah Ha ! Mine is Plusnet too. The plot thickens. Anyone else? I would check with someone elses broadband but I have not got anyone near to try. Nor do I have a smart phone.

Easy to fix, power off 9000. Then power off your broadband router for good 10 minutes, power it back on wait till it gets new public IP, then power up the 9000, and you will find My TV and firmware updates will work again. Working on BT infinity smart hub 6.

Tried this this morning left Hitechbox and router off for 2 hr. Did not make any difference. Ahhhh!

I am not saying this is what is happening but if those not connecting are on the same provider it does give food for thought!

Hi have tested with different internet service provider and all OK. Update to latest firmware as well. Problem seems to be Plusnet internet provider which worked ok till recently. Have now changed some internet IP address setting and have regained some service from Plusnet (VOD OK but no MYTV VIP service). Not sure what's going on? Not to many others reporting the same fault maybe just me.
Will update if I have any info more testing to be done.

When you say you have no MYTV VIP do you have other MYTV channels? The VIP tab is at the bottom of the left hand column. If you have not adjusted the Hitechbox picture size (in System Settings / AV settings / Picture size) for your TV you may not see the VIP tab. I have mine set to 97% to see the VIP tab, otherwise I don't see it. Just a thought. reni.

fourfree not all working in MYTV most work in world but have to say there is sometimes await before the channels appear, so if you click on a channel just wait and see. Other channels open straight away.

Change DNS Server --> 001.001.001.001

nippon the number in red in the DNS Server is the number that will change if you hit a number on your keyboard! so if the red number is on say number 3 if you click on 1 on your keyboard that 3 will change to 1.
My DNS Server numbers were changed to what blackdevil advised above in thread #49 and 9000 working well.

Firstly, I've had no problems at all.Glad to see Blackdevil has sorted this out and members have got their boxes working.I wonder if some technical person in plain language could explain why the Dns 1.1.1.1 works if providers block service.How does this bypass providers ?
I am asking out of interest for future reference, perhaps someone could explain to me how and why this works.

I got my 9200 working again thursday using the info posted by blackdevil (#49), but today friday the settings were back to their previous non working state.

Is their anyway to perminently save the new working DNS settings please ?

The settings reverted back to the non working DNS ones twice today, is there any way to stop this ?

update; settings and channel list stayed put overnight.

Monday lost the DNS settings again.

Tuesday lost DNS and parental settings twice so far !


Seems they have to be set every day or more, the poor box has alzheimer's.

Bad luck TonyO, you could try updating on the earliest update you hold! Maybe that might restore what is needed to lock settings, once that is okay then update with latest. Certainly a puzzle not heard of this before?

I've given up with this box, its too much like hard work, my sat box works ok and my laptop is also ok, anything that cant remember its basic settings can't be reliable.

Save your channel list, and note down your current AV setting etc. Then do factory reset, from the menu, reboot and restore channel list and any other settings like DNS.

You could try to not reloading your old channel setting after the factory reset as a test to see if the DNS settings are correctly saved.

Your issue could be simply your channel list is corrupt, this can cause other issues, it's good practice to always do factory reset before and after updating the firmware, most of the time you can get away with not doing it, it's only if some new settings have changed.
