Recently I upgrade my Hitechbox9000HD using the attached force_update file.
Really it was quite easy which surprised me, at the time I had no choice as box had been corrupted.
1. If you open the zip file and copy the file, then paste it to a folder on your computer/laptop.
2. Put the force_upgrade_rom file on to a Fat32 memory stick ( does not matter if you have other files on there)
3. Pull the mains cable out of the side of the 9000 receiver.
4. While the electric cable is unplugged, insert the memory stick into the USB.
5. Plug the power cable back in at the same time as you keep pressing ok, ok, ok on remote.
Mine started the upgrade straight away, then just wait until you get the 100 percent upgrade.
The box will be back to how it was when you bought it, then just do the latest upgrade.
