Streaming from VU to laptop

Could anyone advise how to stream from VU to laptop please? I so far set-up the box (the FBC tuners, epg, picons and channel list)& everything works pretty well, I can do the usual stuff the box is supposed to do + stream to phones and a tablet on my network ( using Dream Player app)But can't for the life of me find a PC program to the same as the app? Any help please? Using latest OpenVix

Easiest way is OpenWebif in browser (IP address of your Vu+) and top left TV symbol and download m3u8 file for your channel on Vu+. Make sure you have VLC installed on laptop and open m3u8 file with VLC and hey presto! :)

I'd be more interested on how to send from laptop to E2 box without VLC. IE direct. There used to be a great FF browser plugin "send to dreambox" but it sadly no longer works.

Just use network browser to mount your laptop media drive,
then play it direct on your STB using media player.
