Hey guys,

I've got a QNAP NAS - i've configured my STB to record to it, works great. Both manual and timed recordings work flawless.

However, i've never managed to get timeshift working.

It moans about the partition. (the NAS LUN is one big RAiD5 array, formatted EXT4)

Exact error:
The directory /media/autofs/recordingsnas/ is not a EXT2, EXT3, EXT4 or NFS partition.

I would understand this if recordings didnt work, but they do, so i cant understand why timeshift doesnt...they are just temporary recordings after all.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have found my answer! I had to set "special" NFS folder permissions (on the NAS share) which i then mounted in E2.
Result. Its been bugging me for ages!!

Been using my QNAP to do this for quite a long time for recordings but never bothered with timeshift before. So thanks for the insight.
