Hi Guys

My motorised dish has suddenly stop working and I would like to know what is the best way to test it. I will tell you what I have tried up to now, I have connected a substitute cable from the receiver to motor on the dish and this made no difference. I have also tried pressing the reset button but again no joy. The light on my dish is showing green with a red light flashing occasionally.
I thought do I have to replace the cable from dish motor to the Lnb. Lastly does any body know can I test my original cable -what should the voltage be .
Any suggestion's would be most welcome

if you are testing the motor on any cable , original or substitute , disconnect the lnb cable on the motor , you want just the one cable from receiver to motor only, in case of short circuits or lnb issues on the lnb cable or the LNB itself

the voltage depends on the channel you have selected, so is either 13V or 18V on any coaxial cable or from the F conector on the satellite box

ideally you want to try an alternative receiver too, ensuring you have usals or diseqc selected

Hi Joe
I have just entered a channel list and was setting up USAALS . I also have tried a different sat receiver box that I used . No motor does not work with east of west buttons

looks like motor needs replacing, but check all details in usalls are in there ,lat/, long settings etc.generaly if problems start when changing something, then that something has been done wrong, try factory reset and start from scratch..hqve seen lists that need you to alter or need you to add lat and long before they can work
