Hi Guys

I have just had to replace my satellite dish motor ( as per the instruction on sat pimps I set about refitting)
The first thing I did was to make sure my mount pole is 100% vertical. I have reassembled and I have set up my motor using usasl .I have found the highest satellite to me which is Thor 0.8west , which has tuned in great. When turning my dish I cannot find any other sats.
Could anybody shine any light on my problem and give feed pack letting me know what I could be doing wrong.
Before the motor pack up I could get sats from 30east to 30 west.

Have you tried to find 1.9 East which is the closest to 0.8 West ?

What motor are you using now and what were you using before ?

make sure the pole is plumb in all directions

make sure the latitude on the motor is set to your latitude, for me thats 53.5N and do not alter it at all

make sure the latitude and longitude are set correctly in your box

check the dish elevation is set correctly for your location according to the TM instruction booklet

check the dish is at 90 degrees to the spigot when setting it on thor, so everything is in alignment

send it to thor or 5 west , on an FTA channel

move the motor mount left or right and the dish elevation up or down slightly until you get the FTA channel , tighten up

then send the dish to 28e and 42e on fta channels , cheking signal strength , if ok check others like 19e , 16e , 13e , 10e , 9e , 5e and 0.8w, always checking FTA channels

then try for FTA channels on 5w , 15w , 22.5w and 30w

once its tracking the arc correctly on FTA channels , do what you like
