Does anyone know if the BBC digital channels work with a SKY HD box?

If so what is the best box?

Thanx.:)

all digital channels work on a sly hd box. all the box does is give you hd content if you have a hd tv to view it on.

Agreed..just installed my humax and watched the 'who' in concert on BBC HD.Why pay that rob dog Murdoch £10 a month on top of £42.50 a month to watch the free stuff!!

I like the sound of the Humax HDCI 2000 Hi- Def receiver.

If I put my TREX 4.6 in the receiver and insert the box key will the basic channels clear with my Sky card inserted?

Thanx.;)

Yes the SLY HD box works fine with the BBC HD channel, but you can't record the channel using the pvr functions of th Sly HD box, ie live pause, recording from the planner doesn't work.

you can record BBC hd on the sky hd as long as you have at least two premium channel package
you have to have this sub to record anything using sky+

I have been recording BBC HD on my unsubscribed box for several weeks.
All I have been paying is a £10.00 Sky+ sub.
It is only the previews that will not record.
Mike.

Hay Minty,
Your statement above in post No:2 saying that "All HD Chns work on a Sky Box" is not correct and very misleading! Just try getting all the European HD Channels on it, plus the Euro:1080 ones on Astra:23.5!

And when you find that it doesn't happen you might like to amend you post?

Rgds,

TB

I think flaming minty is a bit harsh since the title of the thread is about whether bbc digital is watchable on a sky hd digibox. He never said anything about euro hd.

Plus I think the title of the thread would suggest a 28e footprint and not a 13e or 19e footprint.

I know it strayed slightly from the original starter topic, but can anyone answer the question raised by ictc in this thread.

regards bill.

batman 1 thanks for the backup, i did assume that the original post was refering to sly channels and not anything else. ictc the sly card will work in the t-rex cam provided the nds on the pred file you use is working. to check if its ok tune in to an encrypted sly channel and if it opens your ok, otherwise try a different file.

I tried this on a Dragon Cam with my HD enabled sub card, at first I could only get sound, and only on some channels. I CAN now get both picture and sound on my Dragon Cam and my HDCI200. The trick seems to be , to pull the card half out , wait 5 seconds, and push it back in. The picture and sound then clear. I hope theis is of interest to some of you

Cheers
