Has anyone heard anthing new about tps, has it gone for good ??

A few years ago when via changed to 16 keys every one was saying the same thing. One of the forums I then was a member of was trying to break that system by getting as many members as possible to download batches of key and let a program check them. I never found out the result as I had to take a 9 month break from watching any screen, and rely on the radio, by the time I was given the all clear a number of the encryptions were open.

Point Is we will just have to wait and see. :D :D

A bit soon to surrender TPS to the maffia boys. I think there's way too much interest to keep this closed.

some more news on the tps subject, i found this today.
TPS, has selected OpenTV's middleware for the development and deployment of its advanced set-top box platform on which TPS will launch its high definition television (HDTV)/MPEG4 satellite services. TPS expects to offer the first group of HD capable set-top boxes within a few months.
TPS's HDTV/MPEG4 satellite platform will be enabled by the latest generation of OpenTV's leading set-top box middleware, OpenTV Core 2.0. OpenTV's middleware will allow TPS to maintain their platform, to support multiple set-top box suppliers and facilitate rollout to other platforms including digital terrestrial television (DTT) and personal video recording (PVR).
Regarding TPS, the satellite TV company being merged with C**** Plus' C****Satellite ... the required job cuts will be carried out through a voluntary departure scheme.
The C**** Plus channel is already available on TPS, and by the end of December, TF1 and M6 ( which are minority partners in the merged company )will be broadcast on C****Sat.
they have not yet decided whether to keep separate satellite operators for the 'new C**** Plus.' Currently, C****Sat uses an Astra satellite from SES Global, while TPS broadcasts with Eutelsat.
'At this stage, everything is open: either we keep two satellites, or we migrate all subscribers to a single satellite,' he said, even though this migration would require one-off costs of about 100 eur per subscriber to reorient their reception dishes.
'We are also considering the possible operation of our own satellite, as BS$yB has done in Great Britain,' he said.
Asked about the slow takeoff for digital TV broadcasting in France, ...... said the new offer will depend on the success of digital set-top decoders.
He said C**** Plus currently has over 150,000 clients for its digital offering, and is winning about 1,500-2,000 new clients per day.
