Fresh News on TPS : Working Receivers

It looks it won't take the tech dudes ( or is that pimps ? :p ) long to overcome TPS new encrypting system , already a patch was released today for some receivers :

FTE MAX S100
ECHOLINK EL 700

patch for these is at ****** . o r g ( hope this is ok with forum rules )

Both share the same patch , they have been tried by some friends and reported to be working 100% with TPS today .

I'm opening this new thread , so people can list working receivers as new patches arrive.

:) Hopefully good news but, I think you may be walking on thin ice as the site you quote gives files for download including key editor etc, firmware seems to include keys as well....part of the rules...see:

there are two and one of them has seca2 ecm , that should work with your stb ,

i don't believe anyone is clearing tps channels on 007c00 .
thats practically impossible now .

seca2 (nano 5108/5105) is available on some cards , cams and recievers ,
but that wont give you multivisions as these channels don't carry
seca2 ecm's . it will clear the rest though .

hopefully nano5105 will be publicly known soon , there is no reason to hold
it back as only one channel still uses it , toon on hotbird by cyfra+ .

That's promising but the keys in the firmware seemed to be stored differently to previous versions. No way of extracting a v_aes.db for PC cards for instance :( (well not yet anyway ;))

Hello,

There is no "keys upload" every 10 minutes : just a change of "data".

The needed "data" are downloaded for one full day (each day of course) by the official box, when it starts (or may be also when ???).

Well, it makes use of a tps.bin file, just needs to be loaded by the latest POBedit. I guess there would need to be daily updated for the bins since new data is downloaded by official boxes each day. I´m really not on top of the details at the moment but that´s my understanding of it.

As far as I know, the tps.bin file to be uploaded to the Openbox has a size of 64K and seems to contain for one day of AES k*ys.

TPS are FTA but MVs are just plain Via and using the very old default key 08 (AF AA ...................)

This often happens before they spring a new surprise :mad:

I expect 00 7C 00 (Via1, Thales and TPSCrypt) to be switched off soon but need Lookers input about any card exchange.

AB Moteurs 00 7C 00 using old plain Via key 0B (4F C0...................) but AB1 is using an unknown AES and 0B

via1 has always been used , key08 is a service key .
tpscrypt is just an additional encryption on top of viaccess1 ,

they can not switch off 007c00 yet until all customers replace
their gears , what they can do though is countinue to improve
tpscrypt or just give up :) running the channels on plain via1 .

When it was working, could you detect the AES key changes at all when viewing, or was the image and sound perfectly continuous? Just interested because the first AES autoroll on dragon did exhibit slight intereference when the AES changed.

Now and then on the EL 777 there was a 1/2 second break but mostly OK.
I get the impression that they emulate an official box. (Not before time?).
Now the box totally locks up when you select a T*S channel.
Super while it lasted but still got other 'goodies' in it and maybe we will see the channels back soon.

Yes it's a bit confusing...to me anyway. I understand that with some receivers like the echolink, TPS probably works by some type of AU (not seca2 because multivisions also clear) so maybe it's hard to find out how this firmware works, BUT.....TPS also clear with dvb cards, and i assumed anything clearing on dvb cards would also be made to clear in receiver EMU's....seems i was wrong :D :D

The DVB card EMUs require a daily changing TP$.bin file, containing the keys for the coming day. This file is produced more or less manually by a team that dumps it from an official receiver.
The echolink seems to be able to get the keys directly from the OTV stream (ie EPG) over the air, as the official receiver do.
Hence the difference between the AU for the echolink and the "MU" for the DVB card.

ghamdan,just checked and not working,problem is that the time stamp and the switching is 6 minutes out i.e.at gmt 8.13 am the pc time and vplug time accurate(atomic clock check)showing next key as 8.26 and the one before as 8.19.going to change pc clock to be 6 mins out and see what happens.

Between AES keys they send in plain TPS just using 007C00 key ID 08 - that is why it clears for 1 minute.
Each day's AES file only lasts until around 4.00am and the new file comes out just after lunch, so we won't get much from TPS in the mornings.
All working ok with today's file.

Always worth checking that your STB (or PC) has the correct time set.
