yep all channels no probs in ipswich with a 1.8m channel master with both my 3000ipva and 3600ipva, the 3000 was chipped years ago and seems to do a bit more than the original grey ones

I'm in Spain 115km down the coast from Barcelona with 1m motorised dish and an ailing AD3000ip and yes I can get al jazeera, but my reciever stutters.

Yes, as you say you have the latest software - that eliminates one possible explanation.

I have just checked on an ad3000ipva and easily get 10723H on 13°e with a 80cm dish in southern England.

If you haven't already tried it delete a few unused transponders on hotbird + one other satellite to see if that makes any difference.

The only other explanation I can think of is a faulty LNB.

Thanks Burnham, glad to hear that someone with the same reciever & dish size in southern england can pick it up! whereabouts you from?

Why do you think deleting transponders or one other satellite will make any difference?

If I had a faulty LNB then why does it work on other transponders and even ones with a higher symbol rate?

What are your LNB settings? Mine is Type 1 and just got it set to Universal

Do you think trying to tilting the dish up more will make a difference?

The echostar ad3000 has poor quality components which can cause many faults over time. The main processor can be corrupted especially if you have a full set of satellites, transponders and channels.

That's why I suggest deleted a few unused transponders.

LNB settings Type 1 set to Universal is correct. You obviously can receive other channels on Hotbird so I don't see the point of adjusting the dish. I believe some individual LNBs can a blind spot at certain frequencies.

My sat range is from Turks@t 42E to Hispasat 30W & i'm far from a full set

I have recently bought setedit so I can do abit of a tidy up

I don't belive the Echostar AD3000IP via receiver has poor quality components as I have never had any problems with it and my uncle has the same receiver & it has been going for alot longer than mine without any probs!

I could try adjusting the dish while watching that frequency - no harm in trying! If's it's the LNB can anyone recommend a good LNB that picks up on all frequencies!
