Can anybody remember the site which had working firmware for the starlight range of manhattans. It was posted previously on satpimps and worked well in receivers which were having problems with dragon/t-rex cam

Firmware also worked on fortec stars, so i'm not looking for the official manhattan or fortec sites.

PM me please if it's not official. Thanks

Actually there's 3 of us! Can't find the link, though, thought I had it in my favourites list but no! Very easy to change the CAIDs in the Pred. files, though! As far as I remember it was not FS software, possibly Kaon.

Thanks for replying guys.....i'll keep looking anyway :)

I just wanted to try it out and see what the difference was, how stable it is and try out dragon/t-rex. I guess i'll have to manually change CAID's (which i've done before) when something new comes out ;)

Make that 4. Great blind search. not using any cams at present. So can't help with current question.

Different receiver, AndyX. The Manhattan Starlight receivers don't do a blind search, you're probably thinking of the Manhattan Plaza ST series.

What Manhattan models are compatable with these Arions would anyone be aware of or Fortecs either as support is very sparse ATM.

Just the starlight models, like the mx, 6900 etc. I can't quite remember whether this arnion software also works in certain fortec models or certain kaon models

my 2 receivers are in storage, 5500ci and 6900 with inbuilt magic cam, neither are a patch on my current technomate 1500+ super

Except that the 6900 has a 36v positioner! Actually you're not comparing like with like, your Manhattans aren't current models, the 1500 is. The current Manhattan Plaza range is probably at least as good hardware wise, but badly let down by lack of software support, which the Technomate 1500 has in plenty. I would agree, though, the 1500 wins overall!

i also purchased a vbox 2 positioner after sahir tried to convince me that my 6900 was working ok with the dragon cam, john barry was far better at the job

Hi,

I hope someone help me here. I have a starlight 6800 which i haven't used for a while because it started acting a bit. What happend was it was keep freezing when I was trying to switch it on. What I did then was to reupload the original firmware from manhattan website and I was OK for few days and back to problem again.

I was wondering if anyone know about this problem and can help.

Thanks
