Read elsewhere that Mediapark are moving off Hispasat on the 1st Jan 2007 and shifting to Panamsat 41W in Irdeto (3?)

(is there a 3?)

At face value it sounds a plausible statement.

So maybe a bit more bites the dust shortly.........??

B*gger!

***UPDATE ***

From a post picked up elsewhere, today (27th Dec), it does look as if MediaPark are now pushing out FTA transmission on PAS3 at 43'E......quote:

So its starting to look like the rumour-mill was correct in this instance.

If so, wonder when 30E will switch off?

From ware have you found this info? spirochete.

Have searched on several spanish forums and there is no info related to a

satellite or transponder moving out from hispasat.

Cant even find Panamsat 41W on lyngsat.

Maybe it's here ?

I think "pepino" also mentioned this on the Satpimps forum . He's usually right about these things . Time will tell .

Must be PAS3R since the european footprints are on this satellite, PAS6 covers Brazil.
_http://www.lyngsat.com/pas3r.html

Anyway, if what has been reported really is coming then it will be a very heavy loss indeed...even though the signal will be available, the new encryption will certainly stop any viewing...and there is no chance of actually getting a subscription or use cardsharing cause itīs a cable feed.

I read that the Free-X channels and X-Dream tv on the old REd Light 2 year cards had stopped working because the encryption had changed from Irdeto 2 to 3 over the air.Mine had stopped working in its official Irdeto 2 cam.
Used the Free-X cam(black cam) flashed with latest soft and it works fine.:)
again. So if this is correct Irdeto 3 is already used.:)

Hi all,

From ware have you found this info? spirochete.......

Obviously I can't give the link but its a well known European Forum, (although this doesn't guarantee the content!)

IF it is a bit of fake stupidity it does seem an odd topic to make up stories about.(?)

Anyway, here is the post word for word, (P'raps some of our colleagues can comment further?).

(if it turns out to be wrong -then my apologies for raising it)

MGM, cinematck, dark/c**** 18, buzz, xtream, kitz y natura.

At 01 of januari of 2007 at 00:00 oclock teuve is going away of hispasat and
goes to Panamsat 41 west and changes his codes from nagra 1 to
irdito 3. So teuve will be gone.

Los c****es de teuve se van de hispasat a las 00:00 del 1 de enero 2006 hasta panamasat 41 oeste. Se
cambiaran del codificasion nagra 1 a irdito 3. Y en hispasat nos va
quedar nada.

I must agree with the comments about Panamsat 1 being at 43'W (the sat at 41'w is TDRSS which seems to be Cband)

One to keep an eye on anyway..........

I've also seen it mentioned on a spanish forum

webtranslation of forum post from over a month ago

The next month of December TEUVE (Mediapark) will emit its channels through Hispasat simultaneously and of the Panamsat Pass3r in 43,1º the West, from the 31 of December to the 24 Hours will become disconnected definitively of hispasat and single it will emit through PASS 3R, in addition it will change his encriptación of nagr* 1 to Irdeto 3.

This that began as a rumor begins to take form and or begins to be the news, in addition or there is people who dedicate themselves to these necessities that confirm it.

I always say that we will hope to see that it happens since it is not the first time that is spoken of these subjects as far as Mediapark talks about, but I am afraid much that this time goes in serious.

I've so far not been able to open Hustler using my Dragon CAM or for that matter Hot X, do they require specific keys? BP :)

I can't see way they should move as the cost for subscribers to have their dish realigned would be expensiv. I think if they were to move they might close Hispasat and continue with Astra although there are move channels on Hispasat.

Only those that have been 'built in' to the Predator file for some time now.

Go for the 'standard' version rather than those heavily modified for BISS and DCW viewing (I've found some of these don't work on these two channels)

Otherwise, its very odd that you can't get them.....try deleting the transponder details (19.2 & 5E), re-enter and re-scan .... make sure you're tuning into the appropriate frequency for the ones that are clearing.

Note that the Astra offering does not run between 8am and 8pm GMT

The Sirius channel is on 24 hrs.

It's bad news anyway . I've always used MediaPark as a "backup" package . It's been around as long as I can remember and is a great little package . The movies are good and my kids like the kiddies channel . That's the main reason why I've been camped on 30W for the last 6 months . God knows what I'm going to do now if it goes .

Thanks Spiro, due to obstructions I can't get Sirius but I can get Astra 19.2. I also get Hotbird & Hispasat. I'll check out your suggestions when I get a minute. :) BP

I read elsewhere that the transponders that Mediapark are going to vacate are being taken over by TVE who are going to use them to transmit their digital terrestrial service via satellite for the 8% of spaniards who are unable to get the terrestrial service. Apparently they are not obligated to do this until 2010, but have decided to start tye service in January. I'm not sure if its FTA or FTV. Hopefully it will be available without the need to buy any new hardware.

Channel lineup is reported to be:

01 - TVE1
02 - TVE2
03 - TVE3 International ******
04 - TVE4 Internacional Asia/Africa
05 - Tele Deporte
06 - Clan TVE / TVE 50
07 - Docu TVE
08 - C**** Clasico
09 - C**** 24 Horas
10 - C**** Parlamento
11 - C**** Senado
12 - Euronews
