The only way is by contacting your service provider to get unlock code.

As I posted above - you will have to contact your service provider - you cannot unlock it yourself.

There is software out there that will change the phones id code so you can load unbranded software for the N73 from nokia but will not unlock it.

I will be buying 3g pay as you go to see how the phone performs, what is the point of unbranding the phone what are the advantages.

I have a nokia 6021 that is branded to orange can this be unbranded and what are the benifits

I think the only way will be to get the previous owner (if he's the registered owner) to get the unlock code for you.

Hi there
Just had my Orange N70 de-branded at last! the best £15 i ever spent and got rid of that crappy Orange software/side bar ruining the handset should have done it ages ago,I can now use all the original features on the phone with the Nokia generic software installed, proper themes and the A***ogue clock for example which were not possible with the shi** Orange firmware,
The only way to unlock BB5 handsets is through the original service provider No other way works, believe me i have trawled through the net, and just had to pay Orange £20 to get my unlock code
