Hi,

Do the Technomate range of receivers really have "super" sensitive tuners?

My dish is at the back of the house with aroung 25mtrs of standard cable running all the way to the front part of the house and I was wondering whether to change the cable to some decent one like the Webro CT100 / CT125 and / or buy a Technomate receiver.

Do the inline amplifiers actually assist in increasing the signal?

Regards

in line amps should be use when cable run is over a 100 m . will not help on weak sigal . best way is a bigger dish . what channels are you trying to get if it's nilesat you will need a big dish .

I got a 1.2mtr fibo gregorian and I can get around 316 channels on Nilesat but the horizontal ones start breaking in bad weather...

I got an Echostar AD3600IPVA and I don't think it's got a sensitive tuner...

I`ve got the old ad3000 and the techy 1600ci. The 1600 is definitely more sensitive than the 3000, using a ch.mstr. 1.2, and a quad lnb. It`s amazing how they can make such a reciever for this price. Also got an excelent blind search facility, very fast.
cheers,
Bass.
