New firmware will be released very soon.

I received v1.08 for testing a couple of days ago.

It cures (for me anyway) the audio dropout problem via hdmi
Whether I have the final release version or not, I do not know.

It claims the following: -

****>1) Applied Conexant new patch software.

2) Fixed Cryptoworks CAM problem when using 2 CI.

3) Fixed Help string on Motor Antenna setting.

4) Updated frequency information for Hotbird, Astra3.

5) Fixed error message problem after advanced search.

6) Supported symbol rate less than 10M on DVB-S2.

I did not do a reset after upgrading, because I did not want to risk losing the premiere direct and Kiosque channels.

H. Thanks for the info. Lookig forward to it.
I thought you needed to reset for the upgrade to work (I'll read the instructions again).
May I ask: are you using BigMan's channel list? Still working fine after the upgrade then?
Thank you very much.

Even though I have not done a reset, it is showing as s/w v1.08.

I am still using Bigman's list and did not want to risk losing certain channels, but I will risk a reset when I have more time to fiddle with it if I do lose those channels.

@wolf1976.......

What problem with what channels are you talking about?

I have always got all HD channels that are available with the equipment I have as far as I am aware.

I also tested the new 1.08 but it was to slow on change channel on HD it could take several minutes.

I could get pro sieben and anixe ok before this update.

I think I could only get one of the euro 1080 channels.

What is : 6) Supported symbol rate less than 10M on DVB-S2. ?

Does this up the symbol rate to 10M? Isn't that the SR used for the American HD channels broadcast on Intelsat 907?

Hmmm, did a default reset today and now channel changing is very sluggish!

I now have the old problem with audio vanishing totally via hdmi rather than just intermittently vanishing.

Don't they test these damn firmwares at all!

If you read the first post again then you will know that 1.08 is not released yet to general public, and only beta testers are supposed to have it.

Hi ALL..

Hope 0.8 cures the darker picture in the HDMI input,
(to dark to watch on LCD).

It not just better software we need its a better set of channel settings.
Something like pet123.
I wonder if Bigman, or someone else could make a copy of (pet123) for
our HDCI2000.

I have a dark green background, makes the blacks go greenish on my Toshiba lcd. Dark films like Harry Potter are terrible. Are there any picture colour settings in the menu ? H.D. pictures are generally good.
