There are 3 different types of camera databases - zoned, consolidated & single file. Each file covers all of the speed cameras, so only use one of them depending on how much information you want.

The ZONED cameras are split up into different camera groups - Gatso, Mobile, Redlight, Specs & Temp - and then these groups are split up again into the various different speed limits - 20mph, 30, 40, 50, 60 & 70 - except for the Redlight cameras.

The CONSOLIDATED cameras are just split up into the different camera groups Gatso, Mobile, Redlight, Specs & Temp - so just one file for each group.

The SINGLE cameras has only one file which covers all of the cameras.

I think the latest map for the UK is 'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_I reland-0660.1199'. There are some Plus maps out aswell their version number ends with .1223 & these maps will work on both Tomtom V5 & V6. All of the other 660.**** maps will only work on Tomtom V6, but you can get a free upgrade to this version on the Tomtom site.

I cant seem to find links to getting free upgrade maps for my Tomtom 910 on the tomtom website.

Has it got to do with the product activation code ?. I called tomtom up this morning to find out it I can get an upgrade for the maps on my tomtom and was told no and that all the maps are the same irrespective of version number. I smell a rat with tomtom helpline

here are the versions on my TTG910

App = 6.520
Map Western_and_Centra_europe = v650.1052
Map North_America = v650.1073
Map Guam = v650.1052
Map Canary_islands = v650.1045

It's the software that you can get a free upgrade for - but you've already got the latest version.
They won't give you free upgrades on the maps though - but they are 'available' on a few sites & can be activated with a keygen :D :D

No free lunch.

thats kind of like microsoft telling us to pay for updates

Cheeky buggers. I think they have made enough money from us folks !, that'l be their downfall eventually.
