hi everyone just got my stb really nice, problem is my version is 1.04 and i want to upgrade to 1.07 till the new software is released but havnt a serial connection on my laptop so do i need a usb to male serial cable or do you know if its still being broadcast over the air tried astra and hotbird on the transponders humax website says to go to not tried nilesat yet dont think i can get it your help would be very welcome;)

Hi, Had the same problem when I received mine. Not sure if the update is available still on Hotbird. It's worth getting a USB to Serial Port converter cos you can update channel list as well as units Firmware. The USB port on receiver is not useable for the moment!
