thank you
this is what darkman said on his site
This is the difference from the two receivers :
TMS-1000 Series.
Super sensitive tuner
Low threshold
Signal gain is good for holding very weak signal
if paired with technomate LNB and 1.1 meter dish,in most cases will hold Horizontal signal in Nile in daytime,
No blind search
TM-1000 Super Series.
Tuner is very good for strong satellite signal,
Very fast and thorough in Blind search the fastest in the market in 9 minutes will finish 13 east
if used for weak signal like Arab sat/Nile sat,Then bigger dish is needed

SWITCHING THE PATCH OFF/ON
This is needed sometimes if you wish to use other CAM’s or Cards on the receiver:
Press Menu, System Information then enter 2004 on the remote. The CAS and BISS Menus will disappear. To enable the patch again just repeat the process.
You need to have the patch off for your dragon cam to work without problems. Of course you will only be able to view the channels that the dragon is decoding

1. Download to your pc the latest TM loader 1.8.7 or later as required depending on your stb and the bin file from darkman.
2. connect the NULL MODEM serial cable to your pc and stb.
3. Open tm loader 1.8.7 and load /browse the right file.
4. Your stb must have power/switched on from the back (standby mode)
4.Click on connect on the tm loader and power on your TM 1500
Loading starts, wait till it finishes ( writing and erasing)
5. Power off, connect scart or whatever power on
type 2004 in the system information menu and it will switch the patch off
and you can use your cam, reverse to switch it back on
When the Cass & Biss buttons are displayed the patch is On,
and when the patch is Off, they are not displayed
difficulties do arise when using a cam when the patch is active,
you should disable the patch to make the cam & card accessible to the reciever.
Type 2004 in the system information menu and it will switch the patch off and you can use your cam,
reverse to switch it back on.
AES
for Technomate 1000 series use *01* & *11*
make sure you use the correct window as there is 2 for tps 1 for 007c00 other is for aes
as you have noticed there are 2 sets of codes,
the first 16 digits go on the first line and the next 16 digits go on the second line,
when thats done save it,
come out of the cas menu then turn the receiver off for about 30seconds,
then turn it back on,then all should be ok,
remember the keys change everyday.
AES keys for today, opened up CASS and found the TPS section with the four lines,
with as got a mixture of numbers and letters.
I can input the numbers but can't seem to input letters ?
press the a-z button on the remote and set of keys will appear with letters and numbers
If you do a factory reset you will lose all your stored sats and channels
if you do a factory reset it will not wipe the Patch.
you can turn patch On and Off and it will not effect anything you have stored
Go to Menu select system information and just type 2004 to turn patch On or Off
create a favourites list first m8. then you can group them in whatever folder you want to, and rename them
use a NULL MODEM CABLE to connect to your stb , preferably from a proper com port , and not an adapter !!!

FOR MAC USERS
use OSX 10.4.8 running the loaders with virtual pc and a serial to usb cable

In TM's BISS/CCW lines are 32 characters long. IRDETO, SECA, NAGRAVISION etc lines are 16 characters long.
At the moment, as far as i know, only SECA use 16 characters keys.
If entering keys manually in a TechnoMate (probably the same in ClarkeTech receivers) you need to be aware of the key indexes when spiltting the key into two sections.
For example if the valid IRDETO key is 02 then you need to split key as follows:
KEY INDEX 01: First 16 characters. (ie 1-16)
KEY INDEX 02: Second 16 characters (ie 17-32)
---------------------------------------------
If valid key is 02 then key indexes will be 01 and 02
-----------------------------------------------------
If valid key is 04 then key indexes will be 02 and 52
-----------------------------------------------------
If valid key is 06 then key indexes will be 03 and 53
-----------------------------------------------------
You can always enter keys automatically via a softcam if you dont like entering keys manually by remote control

THIS INFO IS FOR TECHNOMATE 1000 SERIES RECEIVERS ONLY!
If for some reason your receiver locks up, or you can't gain access to the main menu to change any settings,
and you need to do a factory reset, then here is a solution which may help towards fixing the problem:
How to access the diagnostics page on your TM 1000 Series:
When switching on at the mains, press & hold the power button and the channel up button on the front of the Technomate Receiver.
Wait about 10 seconds. do not use the remote control.
If you have done it incorrectly you will see on screen
Data Transfer, just click exit and try again.
Once you have access to the diagnostics you will
have full control over them, so be careful, if you
don't know what you are doing, then don't do or save anything.
Always ask for advice in the Forum if you are not sure, there are plenty of team members who will give you a helping hand.
To clear the Nvram which is the equivalent of a factory reset:
Navigate to the Nvram Clear with the arrow keys on your remote and when highlighted hit select,
Regards.

if you press menu when on the sat you want to amend , then edit channels , then delete channels , then press the yellow button , the transponders are on the left and a picture in picture is on the right
you can then access each channel individually and decide if you want to delete any or not
if you totally clear a transponder , you can then make a note of it and go and delete the transponder from your list later
this way you can see what you are deleting channel wise and also know when you have cleared out a transponder and go and delete it
when scrolling though the transponder list , you can usually then delete any with poor or no signals too

if your box locks up saying please wait , try this
you need to remove the lnb cable from a switch off , then switch on , change sat to a known working one like 19e , switch off and then reconnect the lnb cable
now check it on 19e and see what happens
if necessary , backup the channel list , do a factory reset , and reload the latest patch
********************************* ***************** ******
for au - auto update
d+ will open on any d+ scrambled channel on 30w and 19e
premiere will open on any premiere scrambled channel on 19e (astra 1)
polsat will open on any polsat scrambled channel on 13e (hotbird)
tps opens on 13e using sci-fi or france 4 or m6 music black etc (any channels on that transponder on hotbird)
others like dmc , arqiva , digitv needs the tm softcam keys or remote keys when they change
cabo on 30w has gone to nagra 3 so is no longer open
c+ has finished its promotion on 13e so they wont open now either
to backup your channel list , do the following
load the darkman v1.87 loader and hit the channels tab
click the upload section
hit browse and choose your backup folder where you will save the list to
also give it a suitable name like the current date
note it will end as .ndf , so it may say 13nov2007.ndf
hit connect and it will tell you the version patch on your box
hit start and it will download the list to your pc
hit finish when its complete ( about 20 to 30 seconds )
use download if you want to load it to your box , or any other list for that matter
this is the advice for members already using official v1.82 factory firmware and just wanting to load in the new patch
BACKUP your existing channel list that you have on your tm1000 , tm1500 or tm1600 onto your pc using the darkman v1.87 loader BEFORE loading the new patch
( as I explained in the sticky thread at the top of the forum )
if you dont , and it goes pear shaped , you will have to rescan the channels , OR use a channel list
also write down your usals and rf settings and av settings as well
this can save you hours of work and only takes less than a minute to do
ideally make sure you have the latest tm factory firmware on your box too , currently on v1.82, as explained in the stickies at the top of this forum , and then load the latest patch over the top of it
so in simple terms:-
backup your channel list
to backup your channel list , do the following
load the darkman v1.87 loader and hit the channels tab
click the upload section
hit browse and choose your backup folder where you will save the list to
also give it a suitable name like the current date

hit connect and it will tell you the version patch on your box
hit start and it will download the list to your pc
hit finish when its complete ( about 20 to 30 seconds )
now load the latest darkman patch
load the latest tm softcam as well ( if required )
check and setup the usals , rf settings and av settings if necessary
test
and this is for those of you not using the latest factory firmware , or who dont know what is on their boxes , or who have suffered a failure or have other problems , and will involve more work and several factory resets and reboots ( reboot = turning off and on at the mains switch after a short delay )
first:- BACKUP your existing channel list that you have on your tm1000 , tm1500 or tm1600 onto your pc using the darkman v1.87 loader BEFORE loading the new patch
if you dont , and it goes pear shaped , you will have to rescan the channels , OR use a channel list

hit connect and it will tell you the version patch on your box
hit start and it will download the list to your pc
hit finish when its complete ( about 20 to 30 seconds )
factory reset the box and reboot (turn the box off , wait 10 seconds and then turn it on again)
now load the v1.82 official firmware from the technomate website
reboot ( turn off , wait 10 seconds and turn on again )
factory reset again using the menu
reboot again ( turn off and on )
now using the darkman v1.87 loader on your pc, and a null modem cable:-
download the latest darkman patch after unpacking it using the software tab and download into the receiver
download your saved channel list if necessary using the channels tab on the v1.87 loader
download the latest kempa82 tmsoftcam ( after unpacking it ) as well if its necessary using the keys tab on the v1.87 loader
if the patch supports tps.bin downloading , use the tps tab and download the latest unpacked tps.bin into the receiver
setup the usals , rf settings and av settings if necessary
fully reboot the receiver and test

FORCED DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS by compass
these general instructions can also be used on the 5000 and 6000 range of technomates as well as the 1000 range
just make sure you use the correct latest working patch for your model number
turn the receiver off at the rear mains switch and re-load the latest patch from 25/07/08 ( or the latest working patch ) , or use the technomate v1.82 firmware if necessary
and when the darkman v1.87 loader asks connect to receiver turn it back on at the rear
turning the receiver on at the rear will force the download and clear the problem caused by any incomplete or faulty patches
after it has completed , reboot the box by turning it off and on again at the rear mains switch ( power cycle the box )
the box should boot and work normally
sometimes you may have to remove the lnb cable when the box is off , just to stop it looking for channels , reconnect this after the box has been restored but turn it off beforehand
now switch it back on and test
