RS232 port down

seems RS232 driver chip got blown when serial cable got damaged - looks like IC U340 on board- tried searching net for AMD239LRJ chip & found some possible places but wondered if local (******) store might have equivalent chip type - also IC actually fitted has "HIN239CB & P0206ABHZ" marked on it - can't see any of these numbers on ****** site - anyone any ideas ?

there are a few rs232 controler chips, the most common these days is a max232 but as long as thie pinout on the ic is the same any replacement should be fine

do a poogle search for the i in your hummy followed by pdf, this should find you the data sheet then all should be simple from there
