View Full Version : Humax problems locating some prem channels
I have a humax 5300 and a humax HDCi reciever and on both they dont bring in all the channels on the transponders on the premiere package. The Blue movies and a lot of the Direkt channels are missing even though when i scan the correct transponders i get some of the channels. Has anyone else got this problem.

You cant scan for a lot of the Premiere channels you have to
enter them manually ;)
If you look in the stickys in this section you will find what you need

By manually I mean you have to use an editor and upload
them !
Humax 5300 you could use PET123 and Humax HDCI you
could use bigmans settings

Easy enough m8 if you have a serial port on your comp or laptop which i and many more dont have. Not trying to blame you m8 but humax are crap for software upgrades anyway. There software is not compatable with windows xp or so it states on there site. I can let them away with channels missing from the vaci 5300 as its an old machine but when you do a search on the HDCI 2000 and it comes up with the same channels missing (on prem among others), this is ridiculous. This is a new machine and should have an updated channel list, not the same as a 5 year old machine. Also there is a USB port on the HDCI 2000 but it says nothing about using it on there site.

First I can only give a reply based on the information you
supply, you did not say you do not have a comport !
Secondly not being able to scan for Premiere channels is a
problem for all receivers thats why I posted the freqs pids etc
I think you will find that plenty of people use the editor for
HDCI 2000 on a system with xp installed and mintywilliams
is right laurels settings are the ones you need
As far as the comport is concerned you need to get a USB to
comport converter like the rest of us use me included on my
laptop and Humax 5400, its a necessity if you have an STB

I downloaded a file called Settings_astra.zip. It contains a file called Astra.hnf.
Next i uploaded all my channels from my 5300 using humbox 4.1 and saved it.
Then I downloaded the Astra.hnf file into my 5300 using humbox 4.1 and hey presto all the required channels.
The site was called "humaxdreamsettings" and is a .nl site.
If you put it all together you should find the site without the quotes.
:D

Don't forget you will need a Null Modem cable as well ;)
PS: If you ordered the one from the link I posted the drivers
and instructions are on a mini disc in between the sleeve of
the packaging, some people miss it
