Yes, sadly the servers have been a bit unreliable the past couple of weeks. I just hope it is down to the server admins celebrating a bit due to Xmas ;)

M8 i have also had problems and i found that if i went to network in the menu and set it to not use then reciever reboots go bax to menu network set to auto detect then it will reboot again and the server will be found.

To be honest, since I got the receiver a week or so back, it has been disappointing & not reliable atall.

I have been wondering if it was me not used to it or it is my setup, but it seems not.

I never took anything for granted when I bought it, but it is not very impressive really.

People say this is only temporary, so I count myself unlucky for trying it at a bad time, and hope for the best.

I think you said elsewhere that you have Hotbird and Nilesat. I can only get the former of those two. Try ART Sports and HRT, to see if they are working. They are working in the UK on 33FF via C/S. I have also seen Hallmark and TPS Foot working. I recall seeing mention that the Pink Serbia channels now work, but I have not tried them yet. You should be able to get SRG and P0lsat via EMU on Hotbird as well.

Agreed, but it is progress. Don't forget, for the past couple of weeks, we have had no server or up and down. I suspect that the servers have been running all the time, but we have had no access. If you may recall, packages go down, people complain, and they come back. All the while there was no access to the server, nobody knew what packages were working on the server, as they couldn't connect.

33FF now down as well as the visionnet support forum! Just wasted dont know how long trying to upgrade software from 1.69 (All nagra providers were working) to 2.01 to find ive lost everything near enough now on emu!

Perhaps I should try another software upload. Could you PM the url for the reciever over the air upgrade, mine has dissapeared from the reciever or an url for the internet file so I can upload to reciever. Sometimes I find this helps.

The forum where the files are, does not permit it to be sent other than to advise which forum it is on. The forum in question is running very slow, but you need to go in there, besides it is the same server that the s/w is on, so if the forum is down, you won't be able to do the internet upgrade.

With C/S being so unrealiable even before this last batch of problems I would not upgrade until 2.01 was able to support prem on emu. I agree they are having problems, and it looks like their working hard to sort them out which is very encouraging. I will stick with 1.69 and server 21 for now

Don't panic, this happens with a lot of websites, including a lot of sat sites. It is most likely that whoever is responsible for paying the hosts, has forgot to pay them. If it is more fundamental, then sites tend to find a new host, and redirect the traffic to the new host. As long as the admins own the DNS name, then they can redirect it. :)

i doubt you will get much for it. 33FF is working for me this morning but i am sure it will go down later this morning as soon as demand rises. In fairness to the VN its a great postioner for my Sat pc card.

I dont have any lower S/W for mine to downgrade as i done most of mine over the air via reciever.

I cannot get polsat to clear properly, it keeps freezing on some channels via emu.

just found a website with all firmware on. do a google search for visionnet 8000cis software and there is a german site Nachtfalke's. select this and they have everthing.

Before the closure of the board we were told that 2.01 s/w was for servers
33ff and E0ff only !

I tested this s/w with both servers but although they both showed succesful
no c/s channels would open .

So i dowgraded back to 1.71 and have successful with 21ff and some c/s channels but not all that we used to have

i have found that.(i din't try).
for lan (i don't know for wan)
For testing the Home Card Sharing feature you must to have 2 VN receivers :
1) You have to upgrade the 2 receivers (one with card is source and the other is terminal) with software supported HCS;
2) Do factory default for each receiver ;
3) Connect the 2 receivers using a router/suitch without connecting to internet ;
4)Set Network setting to Auto-detect in the 2 receivers ;
5) Insert any Seca/Viaccess/Irdeto card to one receiver (Master) ;
6) Go to Terminal receiver (Slave) and press fn button. You will see Select Application box with Information and Weather options ;
7) Press Information button and you will see network status menu ;
8- Press OK to select the receiver - card. You will see Seca/Viaccess/Irdeto text on menu. Select this card ;
You will see the Seca/Viaccess/Irdeto channels at the terminal receiver.
i heard that it works whith 10-12 recievers.

Cut 'n' paste "Nachtfalke visionnet" and put in google. In german and does need registration (although its instant). Pretty easy to navigate to images and tools. All there:D :D

As for the second question, a prerequisite to get the server dialog box, is to do a factory default, when you do this, the motor settings and network settings are erased, so you do have to put them back.

As far as I know, you cannot load 2.01 via internet. It is not available on Xvision, so you will have to look around in case somewhere else has a URL for internet upgrade to 2.01

I am using 1.69 right now, and server 21FF is connected. It is not clearing much mind - ART Sports 1-6 are working, plus I have Prem, D+, Cab0, and a few small packages, via EMU.
