Query about Humax HDCI2000

Just a quick question, i'm thinking of buying the Humax HDCI2000, but before i do, i need to know if this receiver can display DVB-S2 and HDTV channels on a non-HDTV ready TV? Anyone know?

I got my hdci2000 before i got my hd telly and i just connected it with a scart lead. watched premeier hd no probs.

you can see hd channels on tv but not in hd of course, but why get a hd box if you havn`t got a hd tv ???

Thanks for the replies. Reason i'm asking this is because my current receiver has conked out, so i'm in the market for a new one, so i may as well get a HDTV receiver. More and more channels will be using this format so i may as well get a receiver that can receive them. I'm not over bothered about not having HDTV quality, just want to be able to get the channels. Thanks for the advice guys.
