Splitting receivers

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to connect my Sat dish to two receivers using one LNB and a splitter or am I making a big mistake?

Does that mean I would have to buy a new LNB with two outputs, with a different lead to the receivers. Could they then be split, or would I have to dedicate one lead to one box and the other lead to the other box

sorry mate i should have said with the monoblock lnd u can get 2 satellite signals from 2 different satellites ie 13e and 19e

with a twin lnb you can only get 1 sat but also has 2 outputs

There is such a thing as a twin dual feed monoblock. Two feeds, two LNB's with 6 degree separation. Suitable for say 13E and 19E to two receivers, or 13E and 7E to two receivers. Probably a few other combinations as well. I have looked at the sponsor's site, but they don't advertise them, but it might be worth asking if they can supply them.

I have 2 dishes 13 & 19 with a Disqu thingy dividing them. Its just that I have a new receiver on the way and I wondered if I could hook my present one and the new one together. From what you are sayin I cant.

yes u can connect 2 receivers if they both have lnb out

Hi Timbo,
if you use loop through and both receiver are on, the second one will only receive channels selected by the first one which keeps control over the disecq switch.
Only good if you use them one at the time.
