I remember when I had mine it always used to overheat, and would need to be unplugged from mains supply for at least 5 minutes to cool down.

I think I bought a Samsung DSR9500 after the Nokia, and then a Dreambox 7000.

what do you think of these, have they made sat viewing better?

My main gripe with the Nokia was that it was not very motorised dish friendly.

The Samsung is still a good receiver but no longer available.

The Dreambox DM7000 has been great but now superceded by the DM7020 which has all the 7000 bugs fixed mainly in the power supply and tuner department.

What would I get next, maybe a Dreambox 8000 if it ever appears or a Relook 400.

My Nokia 9600s is now lying in disuse, but I recall I frequently had that prob before when the power plug was taken out of the mains and nokia had not been powere off beforwe hand. Check your PIDs -they must all have the same value now (smth like 8080, if me memory serves me right).
Disconnect the mains for a couple of hours, reconnect and after the selftest try to switch the Nokia on an unencrypted channel. Hope this helps.
