humax hdci 2000 help please

i have just purchased a huax HDCI 2000 as a replacement for my old faithfull hummy 5400 .can you tell me what is the best card/cam combo to buy at the moment, and is there anything that can be used to get my old matrix reloaded cam to work whilst i set up the new receiver and until my new cam arrives. Not yet plugged it in but i can,t wait to get going:confused:

its an ota update to 1.00.8 although i have found that if you start reciever with diablo in bottom slot and then go to an fta channel then push in dragon it seems to work. also get a channel list and download it to the hummy it will save time for trying to scan the premier channels.

Hi All, Gert,

Hi Gert, as Minty A Diablo cam or Super T-Rex 4.6 cam will do the Job.
Minty is on about the new Firmware (HDXSC110008 All 2nd HDF).
You can also Download the new 1.08 Firm from quite a lot of Sat Forums.

I uploaded the new 1.08 to my HDCI2000 today and found it is an improvement over the 1.07.
First is that the 1.08 is Compatible with the Diablo cam (Prem & D+ Spot ON).
The HDMI picture is a lot shaper than the RGB Scart connection
even when receiving a 576i signal.
On the 1.07 HDMI and RGB Scart were as good as each other,
but on the 1.08 you can tell the HDMI is much improved.

No need to upload new Channel settings just upload 1.08 to HDCI2000
and your channel settings will stay the same.

Hi All,

Anyone loaded this into the HDCI2000,
(Application HDXTCI 1.00.01).
Its release notes say (FOR HDCI-2000T (Trial Version) ).
I receive Error (E 01) after uploading.
Thought it was new Firmware.

Its on HUMAX Official site, released Feb 14 2007.

I assumed that the 'T' meant it was for a terrestrial box of some kind, maybe cable?

I have never heard of or seen anything about this receiver though!

The software is in section (Satellite set-top Box) on Humaxdigital.
The T is for (Trial Vesion) it reads.

Doesn't look like a major update, here's what it does, taken from the humax website:

Fixed a problem that the ghost image appears when the signal level or quality is bad.
Improved an Audio and Video PCR Issue.
