Hello,

As always, a FALSE RUMOR that is propagating through all the sat forums.

NOTHING HAS CHANGED concerning TPSCrypt: except the fact that the usual poster for the daily TPS.bin file has not posted the file today.

Agree as channels are still clearing for 30 seconds every 2 minutes.

it has always done that.

he means that tpscrypt is still in use due to that fact and updates
are being sent to official receivers every few minutes as usual with
tpscrypt .
nothing seems to have changed apart from the daily dump being unavailable
to the public atm .

the funny thing is that absat channels work on old tpscrypt2 .

We are sorry to annnouce you that the new tps crypt, thalescrypt 3.4 system , will start on the 12th of january 2007.
There has been the latest tps hacks on the latest tpscrypt by flashing every day a tps.bin key file in your certain DSR Brands and Models.
The new TPS Crypt=Thales crypt 3.4 will be very efficient for TPS Network Company!!
This is how The TPs Crypting system works:
1st crypting phase: The Fist SET of TPS Keys (Keys 08,09....0E)
2nd crypting phase: The AES Keys (007C00 & 007C01)
3rd crypting phase: A New Set Of Keys (Rumour has it that it could in be a hexadécimal key) that change every 30 seconds
TPS Will send (Ping) and receive(Pong) an signal to the DSR
If This Signal decodes and perceives in the demo the 1st crypting set of keys and the 2nd crypting set of keys(the AES )
Then TPS Will allow to send the 3rd crypting phaase set of key (one key that will change evey 30 seconds)

The C****SAT and TPS Fusion Officialy Took place on the 4th of January 2007 and Changes in channels Packages for both packages starting April 2007.

Either way, sucks big time. Not much left on Hotbird. Currently Polsat and E! Europe/Jetix are the only good channels on HB.

. . . A New Set Of Keys (Rumour has it that it could in be a hexadécimal key) that change every 30 seconds . . .
All keys are hexadecimal - it is just a programmers way of representing an 8 bit byte by using a base of 16. It saves using decimal values between 0 and 255.

Ripley, where did that translation come from?

Trust Remote - he has been spot-on throughout the various changes to TPS.

The simplest thing TPS could do would be to turn off 007C00 as their other IDs don's seem to be compromised - I guess it depends how many cards would need swapping and other packages it would affect (some ABS, etc).

Well, I heard that those FTA receivers still work ok, so no thales crypt, or any other b.s.crypt :)

Ping and Pong?! Are all TPS official receivers hooked up to the telephone then? And, oh my god, they've implemented HEXADECIMAL. Now we're screwed! ;-)

Nice tongue-in-cheek post m8. My freinds stb (T*S) is not connected to phone line and they are using a card with the in use (Thalescrypt or whatever) encryption.

Still working fine (with new binfile), so there has not been any changes yet.

I believe Thales solutions do not produce Sat encryption. There are involved in off shore oil location. I used to rent high spec SGI computers to them for a firm i worked for.

absat still uses tpscrypt2 , AES keys can be extracted with TPSBIN
Decrypter from todays file .

Thales are a company specialising generally in defence and aerospace contracts. However, they did implement Thalescrypt for C**** plus' cable broadcasts. See here: -

Personally TPS is fighting a losing battle since the file guys get smarter and already I understand Diablo has new software to unlock the package as well.;)

Most of the TPS boxes rented out to their subscribers (the vast majority watch TPS via rented boxes) are out of the Ark. I would be amazed if they could be got to run something as complex as Thalescrypt. After all a lot of them fell over temporarily when TPScrypt was first implemented. And they'd have done it (Thalescrypt) yonks ago if it was possible - Thalescrypt has been around for several years.
I may be proved wrong on 12th Jan, but we'll see won't we....

Thales implement only 2 physical ways crypting/decrypting algo (military type communication)
OK TPS is already using a 2 ways system, OpenTv and normal ECM, but the first way, OpenTv, seem very slow.
I dont known what is the minimum time between each AES keys table load, but reducing to 1 hour, this can stop all effectiv hack.

Hello,

As long as the proper code will be available (ie. present in the firmware of the official demos), it's impossible to have a non-hackable system : be it based upon Open-TV or anything else.
