HI guys, thinking of getting a hd reciver, does anyone know if thier is any on the market that'll display the fooball feeds encoded in 4.2.2.

I didn't think that standalone HDTV receivers can receive 4:2:2. :confused:

Any Dreambox or Skystar card, can when linked to a PC.

yep all ok for 4.2.2 with dreambox and pc networked

put channel of feed on dreambox and open vlc player and start streaming

xanadu, the quali-tv box does. I had one for a while and it most definately worked well for the feeds.


I thought that the QualiTV box was only good for MPEG2 4:2:2, not MPEG4, or am I missing the point?

The Zinwell ZDX-640 looks to be coming on the market very shortly and is said by Dr Dish to do 4.2.2. This probably is not surprising as Zinwell made the original Euro1080 Qualitv box, which did do 4.2.2.

This box does look desirable, albeit single tuner only.

fboy any idea of prices for the zinwell hd receiver are they available in the uk at the moment used to have some quality receivers not the best for feeds
