DM500S and Multichoice DSTV ??

Hi all,

is anyone using a DM500S for Multichoice Africa DSTV ?? any recommendations about config etc ?? I have an original DSTV IRDETO 2 card for 36E.

my mate has a nova irdeto access card 5 working fine in his 500s with gbox emu. U could use newcs and newcamd as they do the job

A series 5 DSTV card may give problems on a Dreambox using just an emu. Series 2/3/4 ok.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have only just taken the 500 out of its box and have it working with the FTA channels on 22w and also have 36E working as well.

I will try a few config changes this weekend to see if I can get it working with the DSTV card.

newcs can do irdeto access 5 cards fine. There are some hacks availible on the net if u cant get it working

I'll take your word for it, but I tried everything some months ago. Maybe they've tweaked it recently.
If you have some links to those hacks, I'm sure we can see if they work. It will save me having to downgrade my series 5 to a series 2 or 4. They're also going to ask me why I need to do that :D [Suspicious lot at DSTV]
