I note that the tecky TM9100 now has T*S working on AU. Is this a good development, or will it bring a swift end to this form of T*Scrypt? ( I wonder why T*chn*mate have problems with their Viaccess licence agreement ;) )

They call it AU but it is a link to a fileserver with the latest keys.

If the keys aren't updated on the fileserver, then no TPS.

The dreambox has a similar plugin.....which is probably what's used on the technomate to get the keys from the sever

If you open the technomate software you will see that they use the same dreamworld fileserver.

It is for the TM9100. Not available for tecnomate 1500

But if you load the daily tps.bin file on the TM1500 you get exactly the same as the TM9100 gets.

for dreambox users i suggest you run a status check before
downloading keyfiles .
to avoid wearing out your flash when blindly downloading 64 kb dozen
times per day , until you get lucky that site has been updated .

wget -q -O /tmp/status.tmp $URL
grep "tps.bin" /tmp/status.tmp |sed -e 's/.*A> //' > /tmp/readme.tmp

above script lines prints date , time and size of the last tps.bin update
