Now you have to go in Control Panel of your PC, Network Connections, and to put ip for your network adapter 10.0.0.1 and Same NameServer and Gateway. This is principe for Direct connection between PC and Dream, and for this type of connection you need to have crossower cable for network, but if network going trough router or switch, you can use standard network cable

just been into sticky to try anf configure my db where do i find the network adaptor or how do i get into it
cheers

¿Forgive me if I am misreading your question but I see it as you are looking for the config in the DB 500 and not in the PC?

Do not have a 500 but the path for the 7000 with the remote control is:

'Menu/Set up/Expert Setup/Communications Setup'

The communication value fields and options are configurable here, eg:

12171 (the 'Nameserver' & 'Gateway' fields are partially blanked for privacy with this shot and are of course normally complete).

I use crossover with no router.

Again kmc, apologies if misread.

Thanks.
