Since the "winds" - i can receive all EAST sats fairly strong up until hotbird (altho thats at 50-60%) - then my signal gets starts to lower - i cant get 1, 12.5, or 22w AT ALL - but i can get 30w - although its about the same signal as hotbird - 50% - how can the arc work like that!?

I would check the pole for plumb and motor for latitude setting m8 ,other than that I'm stumped
Cheers - elmingo
PS it sounds like your pole might be leaning slightly forwards

nah mate pole is dead vert - could the wind have moved motor lat ?

:D Check that all your original angles are unchanged. The most likely culprits are motor elevation or the whole mount has rotated on the pole - probably towards the east.

Do you have a sat meter ?

If not you should get one it will solve all your problems ;)

The highest elevation (maximum tilt back of the dish) has to be due south from your longitude. That is usually around 1° W for most of the UK.
If the complete motor assembly has moved round the pole or the pole has rotated in its fixing then the arc will be incorrect.

Hispa has a stronger signal than the other sats you have mentioned.

Try 5w 11.590v s/r 20,000 - it's as strong as 30w - can you get that?

If you can't get 5w then your dish isn't properly set up or there's a tree or building in the way.

ManikM,

Start afresh, you say your pole is Ok (6 oclock),do the same with your motor pole (6 oclock) all round,do the same with your Dish ie;looking from behind and from the side (6 oclock),now line the pole, the motor and the Dish up (not dog leg) and point the motor on the pole as near to true South as posible, now use the motors markings to find the Elevation for 1 west, use 1 west as a guide.Scribe a mark (that you can see from the side)on the pole and on the motor part of the pole bracket so as you have place to use as a fine tune (being as you can not see the markings on the motor pole bracket)
Be carefull when you tighten the nuts on the motor pole bracket and on the Dish to motor pole bracket as that may put your alinement out if you tighten one side more than the other (dog leg).
