hi guys i have a q if i make a back up of my tom tom one v2 what other tom tom devices will this work in and will i need codes for other devices.

Hi,

You would need to generate a new authorisation code for the maps, the codes include an algo from the unit ID number.

You can see this number in the version info screen.

It depends what you call other devices?

TomTom programs normally only work for the device type that it is installed in, so a TomTom One version will only work in a TomTom One device. It will not work in a PDA or mobile phone.

Only the maps are the same for all TomTom devices, as long as running the correct program version.
