hi baz,
yes m8, as dayday has said it might be just a case of reloading your settings, but before you do, switch off at the mains, then turn on and watch the front panel, and see if it shows rA and three flashing, this will confirm that its the settings, if its just the three dots it could be your psu.

i am convinced that these are better left on standby, because when switch off at the mains often, it tends in the end to cause problems with the psu.

Tried off at the mains and RA is displaying before the green dots.

I will try reloading Channel settings.

I Think Ive sorted it changed Model in Config in HNF Smart to 5400 instead of 5400Z strange although my model is a 5400Z.

Anyway hope it is Ok now.

Thanks Again

hi baz,
sorry m8, i have been out, you did the right thing, but for future ref, if your 5400z is patched, it reverts back to a 5400 and then you need to correct the sys id, to suit yours

hi ferddie,
if after trying loading a new channel settings, if this does nothing, then it could be your psu, but this means only a new unit and ten min fitting it, no problems.

if the psu is gone, would you still get 3 green dots

hi ferddie,
its always a gamble, but if you have gone through all the usual methods of clearing the fault and nothing works then the next thing to look at is the psu.

with the psu, its a case of what bit has failed, as it runs several sections of the box, sometimes the 30v line goes and its the signal you lose, (ok thats as far as i go,as i only have knowledge of some failures) if another section goes then you get the three dots or even one, or even total lose of power.

what you next would do, would be to look in the box a inspect the psu, for bits burnt or blown etc
hope this helps
