What type of cable for my platinum

What exact type of cable is needed to update my Platinum? Had a cable from my old 5100 Diamond but this wont work.

Is it a standard null-modem cable?

Yep standard cross over cable for Platinum, not the same as for the 5100 series Fortecs.
