lnb short

set up a new sat system yesterday worked fine. come home today couldnt get any channels signal quality and strength down to 10% an in the menu is says lnb short! does this mean the lnbs knackered if so why? cheers in advance

DIsconect coax from lnb and see if it still says lnb short in the menus
if its says yes then check coax and f plugs on each end
if it says no then yes its the lnb
p.s. is the f plug on the coax at the lnb end sealed with amalgamating tape if not check for water in coax
befor you do switch receiver of first as there is power going up the coax

thanks aba i refitted the f connectors an it worked ok i will take ure advice an tape the f connetor and lnb up to stop water gettin in

use amalgamating tape please dont use electricle tape
