Hi everybody,Just bought a new computer and apparently it's HDTV ready.
Basically I use my computer for pleasure but I'm a novice when it comes to all the gadgets etc.
If anybody could give me some info. on how to set up watching TV on my comp. Not neccessarily HD but will later on.
Could anybody tell me what I need to buy etc Tuners, cards, cables etc.I'd be very much appreciative of your help.Cheers Reg.
P.S. Pentium D 2.66 X 2 Dual Core,1 Gig RAM,Radeon 200 Graphics card,Vista Home Premium operating system.

im using a cheap Hauppauge wintvgo pci card (shops £30) (e bay £10)
with hacked drivers (btwdmdrvinstaller5.3.8 ) WinVDR Pro 3.7.0 software which takes up no cpu at all
i can watch tv/sat or record in these formats
Real-Time Video Capturing Recorder,Directly Record to Divx/AVI/WMV/MPG(VCD/DVD)/MP4/MOV/3GP(Quicktime)

a £2 double 5 metre phono cable for video the same phono cable for audio
plugged into a £2 Phono to 3.5mm Jack Adapter

the hacked drivers make this better/or as good as some of the more expensive cards
the drivers also work on a lot more cards
