:frown: :frown: My system has started playing up the dish seem to move very slowly and some times doesn’t move at all,
It will go from 5 degrees east to 13 easts also it will go to 19 easts but won’t go back to 13 from 19 but will return to 5 most or some of the time,
I have done a full reset of my boxes checked the connection they are all dry is time for a new motor or could it be my receiver.

Hi M8,
I have a Gb st 2CIP0 motirised 36V system i got home last night to find my dish was stuck on 42 east, cannot get it to move, it says positioner error, i think like yourself the motor arm has gone and will need replaced. The motor arms only seem to last 2-3 years, really annoying and more expense for repair.

When my motor started playing up, sometimes moving, sometimes not, then stopping altogether, I replaced the reed switch (£5 inc postage). It now works like new and it's over ten years old.

Hi Guys,
thanks for the advice, may try the reed switch first, what make is your positioner machia, 10 years is a long time for one to last.

@chopper1

It's a Jaeger and, from memory, a 90 model.

Sphinx700, most Manhattan badged equipment is covered by a fairly long warranty, you may be able to get it changed.

If you're staying with Diseqc you could do worse than the Cryptik motor with V pole, which matches the bracket on an Orbital 80 or 1m. Very easy and accurate to set up. If you want something that lasts longer, a Jaegar 99 36v motor popwered via a V-Box. Another alternative would be a Triax 1.1 dish with polar mount and actuator.
