davetherave,
have you done any thing to the cams in the 7000s being as there are one or two updated cams.

this is a pain, I have flashed the box which had coloseum image, I have now loaded the Gemini 3.40 got cams etc all ok on the likes of 19.2 digital, all opening, but on digialb still black signal is 84% getting the text info of the films etc but will not open how can My Music not clear if it is a FTV channel?

hi every 1 from ifti
Still got problems M8t,is it the chip on the card that is not making a contact what we use to do years ago was wet a finger and rub it over the chip just to clean it.Remember its a Dreambox 7000s you have got and the tuner on the 7000s is not up to much and what I do if I have problems like you have I use a full Sat channal Settings such as Pet123 you can find them in the settings of Gemini.

how do I read the card with this gemmini image??
davetherave
18-02-2007, 01:47 PM
could someone tell me how I can change my addons to downlaod to the hdd as I have no room on the flash, I am not familiar with this gemini image.
On the Coloseum image it was just a case of highlighting a box.
cheers
I take it that you have no USB memory stick or a CF card as most 7000s owners have one and or both just to free up space and that would leave your HDD just for recording and play back.
You may get more help if you ask in the 7000s Forum as to the best cam for your card and other problems you may have.
I use a bit of Software called Satfind 3 it is to help to fine tune a Transponder that is not working as it should, you can find it in Gemini with your remote and it is Blue button,2,download and install, plugins but the 7000s needs to be networked and you do not say if you are.

I have a USB stick but had stopped using it, as with the coloseum image you can put all addons to the HDD. This Gemini image is a bit strange as I dont seem to be able to download addons to hdd.
Addons take up so little of the HDD that it is not missed.
I will reflash with the coloseum image and take it from there.
Can I point you to this thread as to why owners use a USB stick :

Also remember that "My Music" channel is no longer FTA but encrypted like the other DigitAlb channels, so look for another FTA channel on that bird

Back to the digi problem I had been running digialb for months on the coloseum image and camd, it went out by its self, I am well aware of the various cams that do a good job however at the moment none of these are opening the channels so it must be a tp /freq problem with the Dreambox and its **** tuner.
Will work it out today.
thanks

I will ask again can anyone tell me how you read your card with this gemini image.
thanks

basically i think gemini 2.90 on ur dreambox cos i find that the most stable with emus and a long channel lists
Then from blue panel u download newcs and it should read the card fine after a reboot.
There may be a case that the digitalb card has lost some chid tier dates and is due an update. This can be sorted by updating with a conax cam or conax embedded cam.

Hi
Got things sorted changed back to Coloseum 1.1 put some cams on usb stick, loaded my last setting left it on digi autor for around 10 minutes and card updated, using Evocamd, could not get any joy with camd.
So thanks to everyone for all input.
